Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your information.

At Recovery Innovations for Pursuing Peer Leadership and Empowerment, Inc. (RIPPLE), your privacy is fundamental to everything we do. We are committed to protecting your personal information with the highest level of confidentiality, respect, and care. Our approach to privacy is rooted in peer values, mutuality, trust, autonomy, and the understanding that every individual has the right to define their own path in recovery.

We adhere to all applicable privacy standards, including the principles of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), where relevant to our services. Any information you choose to share with us is treated as confidential and is only used to support you in the ways you request. We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to outside parties.

RIPPLE is a peer-run organization. We are not mandated reporters, and we do not initiate contact with first responders or emergency services to perform wellness checks. Our role is not to intervene, but to support. We will never take action on your behalf without your knowledge and explicit consent. Your choices matter, and we respect your right to make them, even in difficult moments.

If you ask us to advocate on your behalf, whether by speaking publicly, contacting systems, or submitting written statements, we will only share personal information if you clearly direct us to do so. You remain in control of what is shared, how it is shared, and with whom.

We recognize that many individuals in recovery have experienced systems where decisions were made for them, often without their input or consent. These experiences can lead to a loss of trust and a deep desire to retain control over one’s own life. As peers, we understand this. At RIPPLE, we honor your autonomy and will do everything possible to ensure that you remain the decision-maker in your own recovery journey.

Our commitment is simple: to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered, without fear of unwanted intervention or loss of control. Your story, your choices, and your privacy will always belong to you.
