Volunteers are the heart and backbone of nonprofit organizations, and at RIPPLE, that truth is reflected in everything we do. Our work is built on people who believe in the power of connection, lived experience, and showing up for others in meaningful ways. Whether it’s helping maintain resources, supporting outreach efforts, or contributing to our peer support spaces, every volunteer plays a vital role in strengthening our community and expanding our reach across Connecticut.

Because RIPPLE is a federally recognized nonprofit organization, we are able to offer volunteer opportunities that can meet a variety of needs, including court-ordered community service hours. We understand that people come to volunteering from different places and for different reasons, and we are committed to providing a respectful, supportive environment where those hours can be completed with purpose and dignity.

 Our goal is to ensure that every volunteer experience is not only valid, but meaningful. At the same time, we believe deeply in balance and sustainability. Self-care is not just encouraged at RIPPLE, it is written into our bylaws. We recognize that everyone needs time to rest, reflect, and take care of themselves. Volunteers are free to come and go as needed, without pressure or expectation beyond what they are able to give. This flexibility allows people to contribute in ways that feel healthy and sustainable, while still being part of something impactful.
